Last weekend’s Lac du Bonnet Canada Day celebrations were literally drowned out after rain and powerful wind pelted the region for three straight days. The fireworks were cancelled, as were the Lions Club raffle and the much-loved beer garden. [more]

Lac du Bonnet Senior School phys ed teacher Catherine Strassel was honoured this week with the Manitoba High School Athletic Association Jostens Volunteer of the Year Award. Strassel has been teaching at the school for 21 years, ever since she moved to the community from Winnipeg. [more]
