North Eastman Health Association (NEHA) Chief Executive Officer Jim Hayes has resigned, the regional health authority announced on Wednesday. In a statement, NEHA board chair Margaret Mills says Hayes will be leaving the organization, but did not specify exactly when.

A head-on collision took place at the Winnipeg River bridge Tuesday evening. At around 7 p.m., police and paramedics were called to the scene after two vehicles collided head-on where Hwy. 313 meets the bridge's east side.

Councillors want spruce trees at bridge to stay

RM of Lac du Bonnet councillors want 15 spruce trees at the Winnipeg River bridge approach to stay put. At council's regular meeting July 27, councillor Russ Preston said the overwhelming majority of people he has spoken with want the trees left alone.

Body recovered in Otter Falls, believed to be drowning victim

On Wednesday, RCMP recovered a body near the location of a suspected drowning that took place in Otter Falls over the weekend. It is presumed to be the body of the man who was reported drowned earlier this week, but this cannot be confirmed pending positive identification of the deceased.
